An appeal has been allowed for alterations to a home in Plymouth following an earlier appeal that was dismissed. A homeowner wanted to undertake alterations to their home to provide changes to their roof. The scheme had been altered following an earlier appeal decision and the Inspector was strong in their response to the Council approach in the matter. The decision was helpful in commenting on how to apply design guidance in the context of an existing built environment. The appellant had taken a thorough and reasoned approach to their case and this was supported through the appeals process.
