James Wells Planning Limited has just won an appeal for a new house that is outside of the defined settlement boundary. The new property is located in a coastal Cornish village with commanding sea views. The case turned on the acceptability of the location with regards to sustainability and the suitability of the design. The appeal ruled that the proposal was suitable in both respects and planning permission was granted accordingly.
