Contemporary dwelling approved on Plymouth fringes.

Planning permission has recently been granted for a single storey contemporary dwelling on the borders of Plymouth with South Hams. The site extends into a local green scape area that forms the boundary between the two areas. The key issue was how the new dwelling related to the green scape area and whether or not there would be any harmful impacts. Through a carefully worked up design it was demonstrated that the new dwelling would not harm the important qualities of the area. The impacts to neighbours amenity were also carefully dealt with to show that no detriment would arise. Planning permission was duly granted.
