Planning permission was granted by the Dartmoor National Park planning committee today to allow a school to continue the good work they do. Running Deer CIC provide specialist education to those young people who are not able to manage in mainstream education and would otherwise be lost to the system. Running Deer continue to develop and as part of the future needs require pods from which to provide teaching facilities. After pre-application discussions a positive officer recommendation was obtained and the committee supported the application with a clear majority. The school operates from a woodland near to Moretonhampstead and will now have a positive future at the site.
