We often work as part of a design team in a collaborative way to help a project through the planning process. We were asked to help on a difficult scheme that had received negative pre-application feedback. As we have good local knowledge and a wider understanding of the issues related to the AONB we were able to make suggestions and adjust the proposals. Whilst the scheme was locally controversial the officers of the Council were satisfied that the previous objections had been overcome and planning permission was granted.
Protected landscapes, such as the AONB, are interesting and complex places to work within. We are experienced in a range of landscapes from AONB’s, Conservation Areas, National Parks and others. It is vital to understand what each of these mean to allow you the best chance of a successful outcome.
