Permission has just been granted for the change of use an old office building to residential use in an old part of Plymouth.
An old building previously used as offices for a building company have been granted permission to convert to a dwelling. The site is unusual and occupied a ‘backland’ position in an area of dense terraced housing with access from a series of cobbled lanes. Using the NPPF and supplying market information about the property allowed for a successful decision to be made on a difficult site. Again, a constructive approach between the Council Officers and James Wells Planning allowed a positive decision to be reached.
