About James Wells – Planning Consultant
Welcome to my website. Having been in the industry as a Planning Consultant in Devon for 25 years, I have the knowledge and skills to both guide you and represent you with all aspects of planning permissions for your project, whether it involves Residential Planning, Commercial Planning, or Industrial Planning. I am proficient in working within sensitive areas if required, such as national parks, areas of outstanding natural beauty (AONB), world heritage sites, coastal locations and conservation areas
Experienced Planning Consultant Devon
As a Chartered Town Planner since 1999, my planning experience has been gained from working for South Hams District Council, Plymouth City Council, Bath and North East Somerset Council, Cornwall Council and Kerrier District Council. Private sector experience includes having worked with a local practice, covering mainly Devon and Cornwall.
In 2012, I founded James Wells Planning after making the decision to work independently. Since I had previously worked in both local government and private practice, this equipped me with an extensively unique insight and understanding of clients’ needs. My knowledge and prior portfolio extends to a wide range of project types, including those in both urban and rural settings.
As a member of the RPTI, you can be assured that I work to a professional code of conduct and ethics – partaking in continuous professional development, to keep up with any changes in regulations/planning laws.
