Retrospective dwelling approved South Hams

Retrospective planning permission has been granted for a barn that was being lived in rural South Devon. The case was a result of an enforcement enquiry for the residential use of a building in the countryside. Following initial advice a planning application was submitted to seek retrospective approval. With careful negotiation agreement was reached to allow conditional planning permission to be granted. No enforcement action was necessary and a very stressful situation was avoided.
