Testing the NPPF!

NEW DWELLING IN DEVON COUNTRYSIDE – Input into a new scheme for a single dwelling within the AONB and beyond any settlement boundary has been provided in close cooperation with the scheme Architect and client. This site invovles a lawful light industrial use on a site that is located in a small settlement in South Devon. Historically residential schemes have been refused but the introduction of the NPPF provides an opportunity to review the case in light of fresh policy changes. Significant local consultation has taken place with the Parish Council and nearby residents in an effort to explain and help justify the case. The NPPF is a key tool in helping to promote a sheme that would provide local benefits. The scheme has just been submitted to the Council for consideration, watch this sapce for updates…..
